Meet P.O.S.I.E.

My name is Adam Peden, and I’ve been diving since 2007, when I was just 12 years old. From that first dive, I was hooked on the sense of exploration and the thrill of discovering an alien world beneath the surface. I began helping out at my local dive shop at age 13, and by 15, I was a certified Rescue Diver, later earning a Certificate of Valor for responding to a dive emergency. I continued my education, becoming a Divemaster and Dive Instructor, and pursued a career in emergency medical services, where I worked for five years. Afterward, I joined the Dive Office at the Aquarium of the Pacific, further deepening my commitment to marine conservation. Through my work with P.O.S.I.E. (Pacific Ocean Safety Instruction & Exploration) I aim to share the beauty of local ecosystems and inspire others to value and protect our oceans, with a focus on conservation, community involvement, and education.
